1996 – The Rolling Stones' Rock & Roll Circus was finally released, a mere 28 years after it had been recorded. The multi-group concert was originally intended to be aired on the BBC, but Mick Jagger withheld permission after delays and exhaustion led to the Stones delivering a lacklustre set.
